Ahead of Mocha Magic’s September 14 launch, the brand is debuting an $11 Erewhon smoothie inspired by the fragrance. Available August 1 through 31, it blends coconut cream, cold brew, cinnamon, vanilla, cacao and dates into a drinkable preview of the scent’s warm, cozy mood. Apparently, the new way to sample perfume comes with a straw.
A Fragrance Preview You Can Actually Taste
The ingredients offer a fairly clear idea of what to expect from Mocha Magic: creamy, subtly sweet and very much aligned with the gourmand fragrance revival currently making everyone want to smell like vanilla, coffee or an exceptionally expensive pastry.
Instead of testing the scent on a paper strip, you can order its edible interpretation at Erewhon and drink it in the parking lot, which is arguably a more accurate representation of modern luxury anyway.

Mocha Magic is not DedCool’s first drinkable fragrance experiment. The brand is also bringing back its Xtra Milk Smoothie after its original Erewhon debut in July 2025.
Inspired by DedCool’s bestselling Xtra Milk fragrance, the $11 drink combines cold-brewed organic Earl Grey tea, coconut milk, banana, dates, cardamom and blue spirulina, then finishes everything with Erewhon’s signature vegan cream top. It will be available from August 1 through September 30.
Like the fragrance, the smoothie is soft, creamy and comforting, with Earl Grey and cardamom adding enough aromatic interest to keep it from tasting like a very expensive banana shake.
The original launch was billed as the first time a functional fragrance had been transformed into a beverage. Its return suggests that people were apparently very open to drinking their perfume, provided it came with a cream top.
Fragrance Is Becoming a Full-Sensory Experience
Beauty brands have spent years turning products into entire lifestyles, so fragrance entering the smoothie bar feels strangely inevitable. DedCool is not claiming the drinks will make you smell like the scents. The idea is simply to translate each fragrance’s mood into something you can experience before spraying it on your wrist.
